After overhearing my auto mechanic talking to another customer about this cafe, I knew I had to give it a try! 1st, they passed the Anthony Bourdain test, the rest rooms are impeccable! The remodel of this classic neighborhood space is very comfortable & on point! Service was timely & friendly. The attention to the food is awesome! Locally sourced where possible & very fresh! I’ve had both breakfast & lunch there and look forward to my next visit! Be sure to save a little room for some fresh hand dipped ice cream or A Real Milkshake! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Milkshake was great, burger was good but messy, chicken on the chicken and waffles was horrible. The chicken tasted bad and the breading was terrible and fell right off. The waffle was good though. Service was pretty good. Edit: the chicken had a rubber-like texture. It was tough to cut. The seasoning did not pair well like it was an italian-style savory flavor but that's my opinion based on getting chicken and waffles in any restaurant when I see it offered. Honestly the worst C&W dish I've had unfortunately.

Step back in time to an old fashioned cafe with modern amenities. I got a chicken Cesar wrap with garlic parmesan fries. The fries were amazing, but the chicken was pretty tough and stringy and not so crispy. It was good but not great. The staff was excellent. They also have fresh scooped ice cream.

Pita wrap, french toast, and garlic fries were all the best I've ever had! Highly recommend. Eggs were delicious, too (overhard). Also, it's very spacious inside (unlike many cafe/diner experiences).

Comfort foods, home style and cooked with care. While there’s not much that is revolutionary in the menu (except maybe the maple butter) the food they offer is of good quality. 5 stars over all because these smaller mom and pop places are the kind that make up what’s best in America and we should support them. Four stars in the smaller categories because it’s a little longer to wait—totally worth it and the wait staff is super kind—and the shabby chic decor is sweet. We ordered the chicken and waffles, with maple bacon (crisp!) and Martha’s platter. Everything was cooked well and tasty. I could imagine my family cooking this meal, and the price is very reasonable.

As past President and current Executive Director of the Greater Arbutus Businesses Association I think I can speak for the community when I say this is just what we needed. Amazing food, great customer service and the owner is very community involved. Marthas has become one of my families favorite place to go. Picture not included but the waffles are amazing with Maple butter!

First time visit. I had time to burn on an airport run, so I googled breakfast. I can honestly say, "I'm glad I did". Martha's Cafe popped. Centered in Arbutus and easy to find. I ordered the French Toast with berries and cream, and it was awesome. Bacon goes with every meal, and this bacon was just the right crispness to have the snap I love in a piece of bacon. The syrup was served individually and not from a bottle. It's was thick and tasty. They also served a maple butter on the side, which was a nice touch. The seating is a down-home style and welcoming. The waitress Victoria was polite and even pumped up the local art festival in town this weekend. It was a great touch and hometown feel. This gem of a place came to me by accident , and I will definitely add this to my breakfast stops. I would highly recommend it.

The food and the staff are wonderful! At any given time, you may see the owner come through. He is so nice. Every server we have had - and we've been there many times - has been amazing. The atmosphere is definitely a diner. It is always very clean. Thanks, Martha's!
